Well, I didn’t finish my Pinterest Challenge for today. Its too tough to create a “curated” wall in less than a week. I didn’t want to put just anything up. I wanted it to be special and meaningful to me. Maybe I’ll have it done by Friday (I am really enjoying what I’ve been making for my “foyer” wall so don’t feel too bad for me).
But, I’ve also been up to something else new this week. I am on Day 3 of the Hello Mornings Summer Challenge. I’ve gotten up at 6:15 (ok, 6:20) for 3 days in a row! Its just a joy to spend time in His Word first thing in the morning. I know that I have had more patience with the girls in the a.m. and I know that is God’s work! I have had a chance to “get my sleepy’s out” before I start my day with them. A chance to hear about the love Jesus has for me and for them before I start the challenges of my day. My accountability group is on Twitter so check me out (and help me stay faithful!) Today’s the last day to join a group!
Another part of Hello Mornings is physical exercise. What a blessing to have a body that is healthy and capable! And I am working toward making it stronger for my Lord. He has gifted it to me and I am trying to faithfully use what he entrusted to me. I’m working my way through the Couch-to-5K program (today I did Week 2, Day 2 and was 2 minutes faster than day 1 of this week!). My goal is to jog a WHOLE 5K without stopping/walking. We’ll see how it goes but I’m already off to a better start that I’ve ever been with exercising.
A third element of Hello Mornings is planning your day. I’ve actually been pretty good at this the past year or so but its nice to stay on track with it and get some new tips from the ladies at Hello Mornings and girls in my accountability group.
What does your morning routine look like? Do you get a little time to yourself before the business of the day takes over? I’m loving this opportunity!
